The Cliff Notes
I've been actively showing dogs for over thirty years.
As a third generation dog fancier and Vizsla breeder, I competed in Junior Showmanship and it sparked my life-long passion for purebred dogs. I started apprenticing for professional handlers around 13 years-old, and bred my first Vizsla litter at 14. I fervently continued to learn everything and anything I could about conditioning, presenting and campaigning show dogs. In the sport of dogs, there is no substitution for hard work and experience. My learning still continues today as I work with new dogs and new people.
I retired from handling dogs professionally to work for the American Kennel Club in 2021. This opportunity has allowed me to be a more active, dedicated dog breeder and fiercely advocate for purebred dogs and dog sports.
I believe we're around 14 generations into the vizslas in our family's program, and it's truly a privilege to preserve this breed for the future. My mother, Teresa Gimbut (Foxfire), and my grandmother, Gwen Tomlinson (Vizion) began breeding in 1982 and we still see the spirit of their heritage.
